General Settings

The General settings contains the following items:

• Profile Name: The name of the current network profile.
• Profile Description: The short description of the current network profile used to identification.
• Bandwidth: The correct bandwidth of the network segment.

The bandwidth is very important. It is the benchmark of calculating the network utilization. By default this value is calculated from the properties of the adapter. You should be careful when you are capturing traffic with a 1Gb network adapter in a 100Mb network.
