Network Profile

Network Profile is designed to store general properties of different networks. Different network segments may have their own environment. Colasoft Capsa lets you save the most common-used properties, e.g. bandwidth, network structure, name table and alarms.

When you installed Colasoft Capsa on a laptop and need to move it between different network segments, you are recommended to save the network properties in a network profile and recall the profile when you come to the network again.

You can open the Network Profile dialog box through the following:

• On Start Page: Double-click (or right-click a network profile and choose New, Duplicate or Edit in the context menu) in the Network Profile section to open the Network Profile Management dialog box which collects all the saved network profiles. You can use the buttons on the right side of the Network Profile Management dialog box to add a new, edit the selected network profile and delete the selected network profile.


• In an analysis project: Click any icon on the Network Profile group of the Analysis tab of the Ribbon (figure below).
  
  

The Network Profile dialog box contains the following items:

• General Settings


• Network Group


• Name Table


• Alarm Settings

Context Menu

Right-clicking a network profile, you will see a context menu containing the following items:

• New: Click to create a new network profile.
• Edit: Click to modify the highlighted network profile.
• Duplicate: Click to copy a duplication of the highlighted network profile.
• Delete: Click to delete the highlighted network profile.
