How to Restore Configurations to Capsa 13
As Capsa 13 merges all the settings of Network Profile and Analysis Profile to Analysis Settings, you may not find analysis profile or configurations which used previously. If you want to migrate configurations after update to Capsa 13, you can follow the steps below.
For Capsa 11 and earlier versions
1. After updating, open folder “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Colasoft Capsa xx - Enterprise Edition\Data\NetworkArchive” and rename the file “0.cscnp” to “1.NetworkArchiveSetting.dat”.
2. Open folder “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Colasoft\CAPSA\Data\AnalysisProfiles\project_1”. Then copy the file “1. NetworkArchiveSetting.dat” mentioned in step 1 to this folder.
3. Open folder “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Colasoft Capsa xx - Enterprise Edition\Data” and rename “NetworkArchive.dat” to “NetworkArchives.dat”. Then copy the two files “NetworkArchives.dat” and “AnalysisProfiles.dat” to the folder mentioned in step 2.
4. Open folder “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Colasoft Capsa xx - Enterprise Edition\Data\AnalysisProfiles” and copy all files to the folder mentioned in step 2.
5. After the files migration above, launch Capsa 13 to check if the configurations are restored.
For Capsa 12
1. After updating, open folder “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Colasoft\CAPSA\Data\NetworkArchive” and rename the file “0.cscnp” to “1.NetworkArchiveSetting.dat”.
Open folder “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Colasoft\CAPSA\Data\AnalysisProfiles\project_1”. Then copy the file “1. NetworkArchiveSetting.dat” mentioned in step 1 to this folder.
3. 3. Open folder “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Colasoft\CAPSA\Data” and rename “NetworkArchive.dat” to “NetworkArchives.dat”. Then copy the two files “NetworkArchives.dat” and “AnalysisProfiles.dat” to the folder mentioned in step 2.
4. Open folder “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Colasoft\Capsa\Data\AnalysisProfiles” and copy all files except “project_1” to the folder mentioned in step 2.
5. After the files migration above, launch Capsa 13 to check if the configurations are restored.
NOTE: If there are files with the same names in the folder, replace them directly.
