Colasoft License Guide

Welcome to Colasoft license guide. Colasoft is dedicated to establishing uniform license policies for our customers and partners, with overall objectives of implementing Colasoft pricing and licensing strategies worldwide. The goal of this document is to help you optimize your software reselling practice by enhancing your understanding of our licensing and pricing policies. We offer our best practices by making our pricing and licensing information publicly available.

The customer must hold a valid Colasoft Software license for each individual installation of Colasoft software. Colasoft software is available and licensed as Perpetual and Subscription License based software application.

Subscription License

A Subscription License entitles the customer to use the designated Colasoft software during the subscription period, typically 1 year. Customers choosing Subscription License receive the current version of licensed software and maintenance of all upgrades and tech support during the subscription period. The subscription must be renewed annually.

Colasoft Subscription Licenses are available for the following products:

• Colasoft nChronos Series

Single Seat Subscription License

A Single Seat Subscription License grants you the right to install and use the Colasoft nChronos series software on a single machine simultaneously. For running Colasoft nChronos series software on additional machines requires additional licenses.

Perpetual License

A Perpetual License entitles the customer to use the designated Colasoft software indefinitely. Software License with Maintenance Renewal entitles the customer obtain upgrades and tech support during the maintenance period. In subsequent years, the maintenance must be renewed annually.

Colasoft Perpetual License and Maintenance Renewal are available for all Colasoft products:

• Colasoft nChronos Series
• Colasoft Capsa Series
• Colasoft Network Tools

Perpetual License includes four types as below.

Single Seat Perpetual License

A Single Seat Perpetual License grants you the right to install and use the Colasoft software on a single machine and provide access for an unlimited number of individuals. For running Colasoft software on additional machines requires additional licenses.

5 Seat Perpetual License

A 5 Seat Perpetual License grants you the right to install and use the Colasoft software on five machines and provide access for an unlimited number of individuals. You may NOT install and use the Colasoft software on a machine other than the first five machines you installed the Colasoft software on. For running this Colasoft software on additional machines requires additional licenses.

Site Perpetual License

A Site Perpetual License grants you the right to install and use designated Colasoft software on unlimited machines and provide access for individuals at a single location. To use the Colasoft software in remote locations, such as branch offices, requires separate licenses.

Global Perpetual License

A Global Perpetual License grants you the right to install and use designated Colasoft software on unlimited machines and provide access for individuals within one worldwide organization.

Maintenance

Maintenance includes priority support via email, free product updates and access to pre-release product within specific years form the date of purchase.

Maintenance Renewal

Maintenance Renewal is only available for existing customers to renew the Perpetual License. Customers may purchase a Maintenance Renewal for Single Seat License, 5 Seat License, Site License, Global License.
